There are plenty of teams out there who would love to have a player like Gay, who in contrast to some of the contracts being given this off-season, could come fairly cheap. On December 9, 2013, the Raptors traded Gay, along with Quincy Acy and Aaron Gray, to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for Greivis Vásquez, John Salmons, Chuck Hayes and Patrick Patterson.
